Sister Split
Can sisters ever really be friends? Is there a good way to fight? And is there a way to fix the worst haircut in the history of the world? Sister Split takes a humorous, heartfelt look at some serious subjects.
Ivy Miller is almost twelve, and in her opinion, everything is going great. It's a warm California summer, and she has a pet—a big cranky rabbit named Nibby—who she adores, and a best friend, Susanna, who lives just down the street.
But then everything starts to change—fast. Ivy's long-battling parents separate and then tell their daughters they are divorcing, and Ivy's glamorous, moody, fifteen year-old sister Lacey decides to move out too, to go live with her father. And for some reason, for Ivy, that's what really hurts. So in a heated public moment, she announces that she wants a divorce too—from Lacey!
Pretty soon it's war, culminating in a late night rolling-around-on-the-floor battle between the sisters, when every old hurt is remembered. And that fight is just too much for Mr. and Mrs. Miller, who decide to give their daughters a weekend-long time-out. In the same room. No telephone, radio, TV, or computer.
Nothing but each other.
